I was in Maui for a wedding a week after the fires. Best trip of my life. The rest of the Island is wide open. I think the burned city (Lahaina) can now be driven thru to get to the west side of the Island.

Southwest has had $29 one way sales. If you dont want to avail, dont but it is probably the only airline which kept to some long term domestic flying standards. 2 free check-in, food on the flight etc etc. They did have issues this holiday, but every body has ups and downs..
