Actually this camera is pretty good and we used it to record video for auditions although we used condenser mic for audio. Casting directors have no problem with the quality of video and audio.

I bought 2 of these for $109 a while back. Trade war and covid are stalling competition and setting technology backwards. If it wasn’t for trade war and covid, this monitor would be sold for $79 nowadays and much better monitors would be available for $119. Now is too easy for manufacturers to make money with junks like this so there’s no need to compete or innovate.

Technology always advance at steady speed because of competition. With trade war and covid, sellers no longer competing. They can still jack up the price on ancient monitors instead of slashing prices. While they can make good money on these junks, there is no need to create new products. 7200 rpm for a NAS drive, which WD Red is technically designed for, is almost an oxymoron. Unless you are on 2.5 Gbps setup, a 5400 rpm drive will effectively use up all the network bandwidth on sustained read/write. If you care about burst read/write speed, then why bother with a HDD on the first place.

Yeah the refillable ink concept is great, but the print head often become dirty and need to be deep cleaned, around every 3 months or so, the process which expends 1/4 of the ink each time, also the waste ink goes to a "maintenance box" that needs to be replaced with a new one.

You don't have to pay to use Windows. Anyone can download the installer and install it. You lose features, but it is still free. Most people get Windows included free with purchased machines. True. Mine kept blocking the ink if I don't use it often. The color becomes pink so I have to do power cleaning which wastes a lot of ink. This printer starts having issues after 1.5 years. Setup a free KMS server(open sourced, you can run it in docker), and activate your copy of Windows with M$ purposely 'leaked' volume keys, you get a full functioning Windows for free(need to reactivate it automatically against the KMS server every 120 days). Don't feel guilty, you trade your privacy with the free use (as long as you don't use it for commercial purpose), M$ knows it, and allows it. M$ wants your big data.

It's to help you know if it is covid or just a cold while you're home...before you drive to get a pcr test to confirm it. Before you walk around pretending it is just a cold, spreading covid to everyone else. My family used the tests and they were 100% accurate, as confirmed by pcr tests. I'm not sure what that have to do with what I posted. Even before Omicron, these at home kits were even in the most flatter studies, generating high false negative tests (15%) compared to PCR tests. In other studies, it performed even worse. I cited both, assuming that posts is being viewed by admin before posting. You should READ the study, specifically the CDC one. In that study one of the things they test is is people who TESTED POSITIVE from the PCR test (which they confirmed with a second), and this kit STILL returned false negatives. And as I quoted directly, terrible sensitivity especially for asympomatic cases. it stop responding every 24 hours.
