I bought 2 of these for $109 a while back. Trade war and covid are stalling competition and setting technology backwards. If it wasn’t for trade war and covid, this monitor would be sold for $79 nowadays and much better monitors would be available for $119. Now is too easy for manufacturers to make money with junks like this so there’s no need to compete or innovate.

7200 rpm for a NAS drive, which WD Red is technically designed for, is almost an oxymoron. Unless you are on 2.5 Gbps setup, a 5400 rpm drive will effectively use up all the network bandwidth on sustained read/write. If you care about burst read/write speed, then why bother with a HDD on the first place.

Yeah the refillable ink concept is great, but the print head often become dirty and need to be deep cleaned, around every 3 months or so, the process which expends 1/4 of the ink each time, also the waste ink goes to a "maintenance box" that needs to be replaced with a new one.

You don't have to pay to use Windows. Anyone can download the installer and install it. You lose features, but it is still free. Most people get Windows included free with purchased machines. True. Mine kept blocking the ink if I don't use it often. The color becomes pink so I have to do power cleaning which wastes a lot of ink. This printer starts having issues after 1.5 years. Setup a free KMS server(open sourced, you can run it in docker), and activate your copy of Windows with M$ purposely 'leaked' volume keys, you get a full functioning Windows for free(need to reactivate it automatically against the KMS server every 120 days). You should READ the study, specifically the CDC one. In that study one of the things they test is is people who TESTED POSITIVE from the PCR test (which they confirmed with a second), and this kit STILL returned false negatives. And as I quoted directly, terrible sensitivity especially for asympomatic cases. 11.2.3 update fixed the issue with 3rd party usb-c hubs, therefore no more complaints after 4/6 in that macrumors thread. //@sza: Don't be the beta testers. not really. Just use Rosetta for intel applications. The performance is not too shabby compared to newer intel CPUs.
